We specialize in working with adults navigating anxiety, OCD, trauma, identity concerns, and relationship challenges. Our clinicians offer LGBTQ+ affirming, evidence-based therapy in person in Brooklyn and across NYC, and virtually in NJ, IL, and CO. We help you make sense of what you’re going through and find the right language to describe it.
Trauma, complex trauma, PTSD
Trauma can shape how you relate to yourself, others, and the world—often long after the original events have passed. We work with adults navigating single-incident trauma, complex trauma, and PTSD, including developmental trauma and identity-based harm. Our approach is trauma-informed and evidence-based, integrating EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and somatic awareness to support nervous system regulation and deeper healing. Therapy focuses not just on reducing symptoms, but on rebuilding a sense of safety, agency, and self-trust. We offer trauma therapy in Brooklyn and across NYC for clients seeking thoughtful, affirming care that moves at a pace aligned with their needs and capacity.
Anxiety, rumination, and perfectionism
Anxiety often shows up as overthinking, chronic worry, people-pleasing, or a relentless inner critic. We specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety, rumination, and perfectionism—especially when these patterns are tied to achievement, creativity, or identity. Our therapists use approaches like ACT, Exposure Therapy, and parts-based IFS work to help you relate differently to anxious thoughts rather than fighting them. Therapy focuses on building flexibility, self-compassion, and the ability to take meaningful action even when anxiety is present. We provide anxiety therapy in person in Brooklyn and NYC (and virtually in NJ, IL, and CO) for clients who want tools that actually translate into daily life.
OCD, BFRBs, phobias
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs), and phobias can feel exhausting, confusing, and isolating—especially when others don’t understand what’s really happening. We offer specialized, evidence-based treatment using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), often integrated with ACT and compassion-focused approaches. Therapy helps you reduce compulsions, increase tolerance for uncertainty, and reconnect with values rather than fear. We work with adults whose OCD or phobias may center around harm, relationships, identity, health, or morality. Our Brooklyn-based practice serves clients across NYC (and virtually in NJ, IL, and CO) seeking knowledgeable, affirming care for OCD and related conditions.
Identity concerns & self worth
Questions about identity and self-worth often emerge during periods of change, growth, or rupture. We support adults exploring identity concerns related to sexuality, gender, culture, creativity, relationships, and life direction. Therapy creates space to examine internalized beliefs, shame, and self-criticism while building a more grounded, authentic sense of self. Using approaches like IFS, ACT, and relational therapy, we help clients develop self-trust and clarity without forcing premature answers. Our therapists offer identity-affirming therapy in Brooklyn and NYC (and virtually in NJ, IL, and CO) for people seeking depth, nuance, and room to evolve.
Relationships, attachment, nonmonogamy
Relationships can surface our deepest needs, fears, and patterns. We work with individuals and couples navigating attachment wounds, communication struggles, intimacy challenges, and relational transitions—including nonmonogamous and polyamorous relationships. Therapy focuses on understanding attachment dynamics, increasing emotional literacy, and creating more honest, sustainable ways of relating. Our approach is sex-positive, non-judgmental, and inclusive of diverse relationship structures. We offer relationship and couples therapy in Brooklyn and NYC (and virtually in NJ, IL, and CO) for clients who want to build connection without losing themselves.
Queer & LGBTQ+ mental health, gender transition
We provide affirming therapy for queer, trans, and LGBTQ+ adults navigating identity development, minority stress, internalized shame, and the emotional complexities of gender transition. Therapy may include support around coming out, family dynamics, dating, embodiment, or navigating systems that weren’t built with you in mind. Our clinicians understand the impact of societal oppression while honoring each client’s unique experience. We offer LGBTQ+ affirming therapy in Brooklyn and NYC (and virtually in NJ, IL, and CO) that centers dignity, autonomy, and wholeness—not fixing or explaining yourself.
Artists mental health, creative blocks, therapeutic integration
Creative work is deeply tied to identity, vulnerability, and meaning. We specialize in supporting artists, writers, performers, and other creatives navigating burnout, creative blocks, imposter syndrome, and the emotional toll of visibility and uncertainty. Therapy explores the intersection of creativity and mental health while helping clients reconnect with curiosity, play, and sustainable creative rhythms. Our approach integrates structured therapy with openness to imagination, metaphor, and experiential work. We offer therapy for artists in Brooklyn and NYC (and virtually in NJ, IL, and CO) who want both psychological depth and creative integrity.
Grief, loss, life transitions
Grief doesn’t follow a linear timeline, and loss can take many forms—death, relationship endings, identity shifts, or changes you didn’t choose. We support adults navigating grief, loss, and major life transitions with care that honors complexity rather than rushing resolution. Therapy offers space to process emotion, meaning, and uncertainty while rebuilding a sense of continuity and purpose. Our clinicians work with grief in a way that is compassionate, non-pathologizing, and attuned to cultural and relational context. We provide grief and transition-focused therapy in Brooklyn and across NYC (and virtually in NJ, IL, and CO).

That's completely okay. We believe diagnoses can be helpful and harmful depending on the context. We’re primarily interested in who you are, what you’re experiencing, and what you want to change. Whatever language or labels we use to describe it is up to you.

Most clients start with weekly 45 or 60 minute sessions. As you progress, we might adjust frequency to biweekly or monthly. For trauma work (IFS and EMDR) and intensive OCD treatment, we recommend 90-120 minute sessions and/or twice-weekly sessions. And if you’re interested in accelerated healing, check out our creative therapeutic intensives.
