Focused treatment for accelerated healing — in as little as one day.

Weekly therapy sessions have limitations.

If it's hard to bounce in and out of weekly therapy sessions, you are not the problem.

Your nervous system struggles to settle into deep healing when you're toggling between meetings. Work, creativity, travel, and social life eat into time for sessions—let alone practicing what you learn.

Progress feels fragmented. You're putting out fires instead of getting to the root.

If that leaves you feeling stuck, hopeless, or self-critical, know this: The problem is not having the dedicated time you need and deserve.

The therapeutic process, like the creative process, thrives when we can slow down, focus, & let go of anxieties about time.

What if you could condense months of progress into just a few hours?

We offer EMDR intensives, IFS intensives, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) intensives that are designed for adults who want accelerated healing for complex trauma, identity-based wounds, and patterns that feel stuck in weekly therapy.

Imagine if you could step away from the daily grind, clear your calendar, and…

  • reconnect with yourself and your body without all of the distractions

  • process limiting beliefs and emotions that have been holding you back

  • snap out of autopilot, clarify your values, and find direction in life

  • integrate your therapeutic work into your creative work, taking action on projects that have been sidelined

KAP + IFS Intensives with Alana

Alana offers KAP intensives, IFS intensives, or an integrated experience that weaves both together. Combining ketamine's ability to open up deeper access with IFS's parts-based framework can be a particularly powerful pairing — the medicine creates the window, and the therapy helps you make meaning of what you find there.

EMDR + IFS Intensives with Grace

Grace offers EMDR intensives, IFS intensives, or an integrated approach that draws from both. If you carry trauma that lives in your body as much as your mind, blending EMDR's nervous system focus with IFS's compassionate parts work can create lasting change that feels different.

Intensives FAQs

  • An intensive is a focused, extended therapy experience (typically a half or full day) designed to go deeper than what a weekly session allows. We use evidence-based approaches like EMDR, IFS, KAP, somatic experiencing, and mindfulness, tailored specifically to what you need. Think of it as a jump-start for real change.

  • if you've been working on the same thing in therapy for a while and feel like you're going in circles, an intensive might be the missing piece. If you also notice yourself needing extended time to warm up in weekly sessions and feel like you can’t always access your deep emotions in that timeframe, an intensive could give you space to go there.

You might be a good fit if you:

    • Have a specific event, pattern, or relationship you want to work through

    • Are preparing for or processing a major life transition

    • Feel like you know what the issue is but can't seem to move past it

    • Want real progress, not just coping strategies

The best way to know for sure is to book a free consultation - we’re happy to give you our honest opinion.

  • Not necessarily. Some clients come to us as a stand-alone experience; others are in ongoing therapy and want to go deeper on specific issues. We're happy to collaborate with your existing therapist or other providers on your care team to help you prepare and integrate your insights.

  • All three are powerful approaches to healing and we often integrate them. EMDR and IFS don’t require taking any substances. KAP involves taking a legally prescribed, safe amount of ketamine during the session.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured treatment that helps you reprocess traumatic memories that got "stuck." It's particularly effective for trauma and anxiety rooted in past events.

IFS (Internal Family Systems) works with different "parts" of you (the anxious part, the inner critic, etc.) to help you understand what they're protecting and build a different relationship with them. It's a good fit if you feel internally conflicted, struggle with self-compassion, or keep repeating patterns you can't explain.

KAP (Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy) uses a legal prescription medication to create a brief altered state that can lower your defenses and open up access to deeper material. The ketamine creates a window of openness, and the therapy helps you use it. KAP can be especially helpful when other approaches haven't created enough movement, or when depression, grief, or trauma feel particularly entrenched.

Not sure which is right for you? That's exactly what a consultation is for — we'll help you figure it out together.

  • Deep work can bring up big feelings, so we plan for that. Our intensives are paced intentionally with plenty of prep work, so our goal is to have you walk away feeling centered and reconnected to yourself, with plenty of tools to self-regulate.

You may feel sensitive after an intensive and feel like so much has changed internally even though your external world looks the same. This is why we follow up with an integration session to help you bridge the internal insights with external changes. We can also work with existing care providers or add additional integration sessions if needed.

  • Intensives typically run between 3 and 6 hours, depending on your goals and the modality. We'll work with you to find a format that fits your life and what you're hoping to accomplish.

  • Intensive therapy and KAP are generally not covered by insurance, but we can provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if your plan allows it. Some clients use their HSA or FSA funds. We're happy to talk through options during your consultation so you can make an informed decision.

  • When administered appropriately and paired with therapeutic support, ketamine is considered safe for most people. Common temporary effects include dissociation, dizziness, or nausea during the session. You’ll complete a medical evaluation with a doctor in addition to our clinical screening process to ensure you're a good candidate. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities throughout the entire process.
