Blending ACT + ERP: Values-based Exposures for Everyday Therapy (2 CEUs)
a pre-recorded webinar with Grace Dickman, LCSW
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is regarded as a specialized form of treatment used for specific clinical presentations such as OCD and phobias. Clients and clinicians alike are often intimidated by exposures, especially for those who usually gravitate towards mindfulness-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
In this workshop, we’ll teach you how to blend these two modalities to conduct flexible, values-based exposures with clients so they can move through fear, realize their resilience, and access safety in unexpected places - all at their own pace. Participants will leave with a personalized “exposure menu” that they can use in their practice.
This 2 credit clinical course was developed for social work professionals.
