Healing complex trauma with IFS and EMDR

We need a variety of tools and approaches to work effectively with complex trauma. Most trauma therapy focuses on processing what happened or alleviating your current distress. We do both. EMDR targets past memories and IFS eases your relationship to yourself in present.

Is this you?

  • You’ve been to talk therapy but only feel like you’re scratching the surface, and you’re looking for deeper change

  • You carry anxiety, guilt, hypervigilance, emotional shutdown, and feel like you’re masking your way through life

  • Something in your past left a mark that still activates you

  • You want a therapist who gets what it means to be different, queer, neurodivergent, creative, and to see sensitivity as a strength

  • You're not just trying to feel less bad. You want to live a bold and beautiful life

Our approach

We combine two evidence-based trauma therapies, in addition to other creative and somatic approaches, to work with complex trauma.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps your brain finally finish processing memories that got stuck. Through guided bilateral stimulation, distressing experiences lose their grip — not by forcing you to relive them, but by helping your nervous system complete what it couldn't at the time. It's structured, evidence-based, and often works where years of talk therapy haven't.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS or “parts work”) is a way of understanding the different "parts" of you — the inner critic, the people-pleaser, the one who shuts down, the one who rages. Rather than fighting these parts, IFS helps you get curious about them. When you understand what each part is protecting, something underneath opens up: a calmer, more grounded sense of self that was there all along.n text goes here
